We are looking for an experienced MDS Nurse (RN or LPN) to conduct and coordinate the development and completion of the resident assessment in accordance with current rules, policies, regulations, and guidelines that govern the resident assessment.
Assist the Director of Nursing and other relevant directors and supervisors in maintaining good rapport and morale between and within departments to ensure that a team effort is achieved in developing and implementing a comprehensive assessment and plan of care.
Duties and
Responsibilities:
Perform Administrative Duties Completing Medical Forms, Reports, Evaluations, Studies Implement and Maintain ongoing quality assurance for the resident care plans Evaluate and implement recommendations from established committees as they pertain to the assessment Maintain an effective, and friendly working relationship with all health professionals, physicians, consultants, and governmental agencies that are involved with the resident assessment/care plan.
Meet regularly with department supervisors concerning the assessment/care plan of patients.
Develop, Plan and Conduct timely in-service training classes for assessment skills or techniques needed to complete the assessment functions of facility.
Attend and participate in annual OSHA and CDC in-service training programs for hazard communication, TB management, and blood borne pathogens standard.
Attend and participate in continuing education programs designed to keep you informed of any changes in this profession, as well as to maintain your license.
Always maintain the confidentiality of our resident's information.

Qualifications:
Current, active license to practice as a Registered Nurse or a Licensed Practical Nurse.
Must be able to read, write, speak and understand the English language Must be knowledgeable of nursing and medical practices and procedures, as well as laws, regulations, and guidelines that pertain to long-term care Former experience as a supervisor in a hospital, health care facility or long-term care facility Trained in rehabilitative and restorative nursing practices Must possess the ability to make independent decisions when warranted Corning Therapy and Living is building our family of passionate professionals.
